Ronald Torreyes, Lane Adams swapped for each other again

It seems like infielder Ronald Torreyes and outfielder Lane Adams can't get enough of each other.

The pair were involved in a transaction Monday when the New York Yankees claimed Torreyes off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels, designating Adams for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.

This wasn't the first time they were included in the same transaction, however.

The Yankees designated Torreyes for assignment on Jan. 15 after claiming Adams off waivers from the Kansas City Royals.

By going through this process, the Yankees have a chance of getting both players into their system if Adams can pass through waivers.

The 23-year-old Torreyes has eight games of major-league experience under his belt as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers last season, hitting .333/.429/.500 in eight plate appearances.

Adams, 26, has minimal big-league experience as well, appearing in six games for the 2014 Royals, and has yet to earn his first major-league hit. He hit .281/.347/.445 with 16 home runs, 62 RBIs, and 31 stolen bases in the minors last season.
