Bell will open 2016 without a specific timetable to the major leagues. "I'm not going to put a time frame on him," Pirates general manager Neal Huntington told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "But there's a lot of good things happening with Josh."

Analysis:

Bell has batted an impressive .305/.371/.450 in parts of four minor league seasons but has hit only 30 homers in 1,622 plate appearances. The power may still translate, but his defensive skills at first base leave much to be desired. Bell has had a rough time thus far transitioning from the outfield to first base, as evidenced during a minicamp clip provided by DK on Pittsburgh Sports.
