Analysis:

Castillo, who signed with Boston out of Cuba in Aug. 2014, still hasn't made a full adjustment to baseball in the United States and remains an enigma entering the 2016 season. Injuries have slowed his development, including his adjustment to higher-caliber pitching and the longer season in MLB. He's shown ability in short spurts and will be given a chance to start every day if he's healthy coming out of spring training.
