Hannah Davis: 'I never received a gift basket' from Jeter

Derek Jeter's supermodel fiancee is putting an end to a longstanding rumor that the New York Yankees legend handed out gift baskets to women as they left his apartment following one-night stands.

Hannah Davis appeared on a Dallas-based radio show Wednesday to talk about her new role as host of "Project Runway: Junior," but the conversation quickly turned to her relationship with Jeter, and his previous reputation as a womanizer.

"I never received a gift basket," Davis said on 105.3 The Fan. "And it's really sad that anyone can believe something that's such a stupid story and makes no sense."

"The Captain" also recently dispelled the rumors, initially stemming from a New York Post story in 2011, last November in an interview with Joe Buck, claiming the media created the absurd story.

Once one of the most eligible bachelors in sports, Jeter confirmed his engagement to Davis last November after dating many other high-profile celebrities during his playing days.

Jeter, a five-time World Series champion and 14-time All-Star, is the Yankees' all-time leader in hits (3,316), at-bats (10,614), games (2,602), and stolen bases (348).
