Scott Kazmir: Signs three-year deal with Dodgers

Kazmir signed a three-year contract with the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Analysis:

With the departure of Zack Greinke during the offseason, the Dodgers have made a move to help fill the void by adding Kazmir. The veteran left-hander posted a 3.10 ERA with Oakland and Houston in 2015 and helped guide the Astros to the postseason. Kazmir adds another talented left-handed arm to the Dodgers' rotation that already features the likes of Clayton Kershaw, Alex Wood, and Brett Anderson. The contract includes an opt-out clause after the 2016 season, so Kazmir will have plenty of personal motivation to put together a strong first season with the Dodgers.
