Report: Kazmir pondering multiple 3-year offers

Troy Taormina / USA TODAY Sports

Scott Kazmir could be the next free-agent pitcher to come off the market.

Kazmir's considering multiple three-year offers in the $12-13 million annual range, according to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.

The Oakland Athletics, Kansas City Royals, Baltimore Orioles, and Los Angeles Dodgers are all competing for the southpaw's services.

Heyman speculates the team that's willing to step up and include a fourth year in a potential deal may come out on top.

Kazmir, 31, enjoyed a solid 2015 campaign with the Athletics and Houston Astros, compiling a 7-11 record with a 3.10 ERA and 1.21 WHIP in 31 starts. He's a three-time All-Star, and led the American League in strikeouts (239) while pitching for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2007.
