The Los Angeles Dodgers have had a logjam in their outfield for the past couple seasons, but that may not be the case in 2016.

Los Angeles is willing to retain salary in a potential trade for Andre Ethier or Carl Crawford, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

Ethier is owed $38 million over the next two seasons, while the oft-injured Crawford will haul in $41.75 million over the same span. The Dodgers aren't opposed to including cash in a potential deal for either player, but Rosenthal doesn't specify what percentage of the contracts they would be willing to eat.

Clubs would likely be more interested in Ethier, who has appeared in at least 126 games in each of his 10 big-league seasons. The 33-year-old slashed a very respectable .294/.366/.486 with 14 homers and 53 RBIs in 142 contests last year, and he also has a $17.5-million vesting option with a $2-million buyout for the 2018 campaign.

The Dodgers' outfield currently consists of Yasiel Puig, Joc Pederson, Scott Van Slyke, Alex Guerrero, and the two aforementioned players, which will certainly present an issue for new manager Dave Roberts when it comes to distributing playing time next season.

Puig is also rumored to be on the trade block following allegations that he got into a fight at a Miami nightclub this offseason. The Cuban slugger is being investigated by Major League Baseball under its new domestic violence policy, and it's unclear at this point if he'll face discipline for the matter.

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman was expected to be one of the busier executives in baseball this offseason, given his sizable budget, but he's failed to make a big splash thus far, only signing righty Hisashi Iwakuma after losing the Zack Greinke sweepstakes to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
