The Los Angeles Angels remain in the mix for some of the top tier outfielders available in free agency, but have focused more on depth at the position through the first six weeks of the offseason.

On Tuesday, the club signed speedy outfielder Quintin Berry to a minor-league deal that includes an invitation to MLB spring training.

Berry hit .225/.326/.282 with 35 stolen bases in 2015 with the Triple-A affiliates for the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs. The 31-year-old has 125 MLB games on his resume, but appeared in only eight games with the Cubs last season, seven of which were as a pinch runner.
