Report: Bruce's no-trade list includes 4 AL East teams

The Baltimore Orioles appear to have a significant advantage over their division rivals as they reportedly pursue one of the most available bats on the trade block.

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce, whom the Orioles are said to be interested in acquiring, has reportedly re-submitted his eight-team no-trade list, and half of the clubs are from the American League East. The Orioles are the only team from the division Bruce would not block a trade to, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

The list includes the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays, Minnesota Twins, Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins, and Oakland Athletics. Crasnick notes the list is the same one Bruce submitted to the Reds last season.

Bruce, 28, regained his power stroke in 2015, one year removed from an injury-plagued campaign that resulted in the fewest home runs of his career. The left-handed hitting slugger rebounded to hit 26 homers and 35 doubles in 157 games, but managed a below league average OPS+ (97) for the second straight season.

He's owed $12.5 million next season, and carries a 2017 team option valued at $13 million.
