Reds sign Blake Wood to 1-year deal

The Cincinnati Reds signed right-handed pitcher Blake Wood to a one-year major-league contract.
The 30-year-old Wood hasn't appeared in the big leagues since 2014 with the Cleveland Indians, after spending 2015 with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.
The former third-round pick was a solid bullpen piece for the Kansas City Royals in 2011, logging 69 2/3 innings of work across 55 appearances.
He has a career ERA of 4.39 in 115 MLB appearances.
