Chris Denorfia no longer plays for the San Diego Padres, but he's still making news in his old stomping grounds

An estimated 600 Denorfia bobbleheads were mysteriously found on the doorstep of a residence in University City, San Diego, according to Steven Luke from NBC San Diego.

Denorfia, who suited up for the Chicago Cubs last season, played for the Padres from 2010-14, so the bobbleheads must have been carryovers from one of the promotional giveaways during his tenure with the club.

The residents have no idea who dumped the collectibles in the middle of the night, and initially thought they had made a dangerous discovery.

"We thought it was from a drug cartel or something," Jalena Lau said. "But when we went through them they were just regular bobbleheads."

Lau and her roommate, Philip Jia, dished out of the dolls at Halloween and have been distributing them to friends and coworkers.
