Eric Hosmer made history on Tuesday when he passed one of the Kansas City Royals' all-time greats in the postseason RBI department.

Hosmer recorded his 24th postseason RBI in Game 1 of the World Series with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning, pushing him past Hall of Famer George Brett for the franchise record.

The 26-year-old Hosmer, who has 12 RBIs during these playoffs, reached the milestone in just his 27th postseason game, while Brett's 23 RBIs came across 43 playoff contests.

Hosmer has received more chances at the milestone with the addition of the division series, which wasn't played during Brett's era.
