Elvis Andrus is shouldering the blame for the Texas Rangers' seventh-inning meltdown that helped knock them out of the postseason.

After scoring the go-ahead run in the top of the inning, the Rangers made three crucial consecutive errors to load the bases for the Toronto Blue Jays with no outs.

While Andrus was charged for two of the three misplays, he was involved in each of them.

"I've got a lot of emotions," Andrus told reporters following the loss. "Nothing good is going through my mind right now. We had an opportunity to win and I let everybody down. I should have made the plays.

"They were easy plays. I should make them 100 times out of 100. There is no excuse. This is the toughest point of my career."

Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin got things going in the seventh after Andrus bobbled a routine ground ball for the first error. Kevin Pillar followed with a ground ball to first that was poorly thrown to second by Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland, who was charged for the second error, as Andrus couldn't handle the short hop.

With two on, Ryan Goins attempted a sacrifice bunt and reached on a fielder's choice after Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre corralled the ball and fired to third base. The throw was fired in time to get the lead runner, but Andrus dropped the ball.

The Blue Jays would tack on four runs in the inning and win the game 6-3.
