Angels designate Jo-Jo Reyes for assignment
Reliever Jo-Jo Reyes was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Angels on Friday.
Analysis:
In the first moves of the Billy Eppler era, the Angels claimed outfielder Todd Cunningham off waivers from Atlanta and bumped Reyes from the 40-man roster. Reyes was a late-September callup to the big club, returning to the majors for the first time since 2011, despite posting a 4.76 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 15 appearances (11 starts) with Triple-A Salt Lake.
