The Toronto Blue Jays got off to a horrendous start in the first inning against the Texas Rangers in Game 2 of the American League Division Series on Friday, and it took some outstanding defensive chops from Chris Colabello to end the torture.

Jose Bautista got things going in the wrong direction after failing to make a catch on a Delino DeShields liner at the fence, after which the Blue Jays defense collapsed en route to spotting the Rangers a 2-0 lead.

Luckily for the Blue Jays, first baseman Colabello turned an unassisted double play to end the inning, thanks to a combination of some fine defensive work and a base-running blunder from Prince Fielder.

With the play, Colabello earned the fifth unassisted ground ball double play by a first baseman in postseason history.
