Longtime Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully underwent a medical procedure Thursday that will force him to miss the postseason.
There are no details about what the procedure was, but the 87-year-old is reportedly "resting comfortably."
Scully is the longest-serving broadcaster of a single team in professional sports history, beginning his career with the Dodgers in 1950.
The National League Division Series between the Dodgers and New York Mets begins Friday.
