Kershaw, Wood options to start for Dodgers in NLDS Game 4

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly has narrowed down his list of potential starters in Game 4 of the NLDS to two.

The skipper announced Sunday that either Alex Wood or Clayton Kershaw would get the ball on Tuesday in the elimination game.

With the series tied at a game apiece, Mattingly acknowledged that the starter would be determined by the result of Game 3 on Monday. Should the Dodgers win, Wood would get the ball, however, if they lose, Kershaw would get the start on three-days rest.

Kershaw's postseason woes continued in Game 1 as he took the loss and watched his career playoff record fall to 1-6. The left-hander allowed three runs off four hits but struckout 11 in the 3-1 loss.

Acquired from the Atlanta Braves in late July, Wood went 5-6 with a 4.35 ERA in 12 starts with the Dodgers. The 24-year-old has two career postseason appearances under his belt, allowing four unearned runs in 3 1/3 innings of relief in 2013.
