Raisel Iglesias' extraordinary second half of the season continued Wednesday as he dominated against the Chicago Cubs.

The right-hander struck out 10 hitters across seven innings of three-hit ball, allowing two earned runs in the Reds' 7-4 victory over the Cubs.

"I didn't expect him to miss the bat as much as he does," Reds manager Bryan Price told reporters of his starter. "There's a lot of swings and misses. He's extremely tough on the right-handed hitters. Today, when he had to make the big pitches against the lefties, he was able to do that as well."

Iglesias' two mistakes on the afternoon came via solo home runs to Tommy La Stella in the third and Anthony Rizzo in the fourth, but Joey Votto had his pitcher's back, scorching a three-run dinger to left-center field in the ninth inning.

It was Iglesias' third straight game with double-digit strikeouts. That's the second-longest streak in baseball this season, behind only Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale's eight-game run.

The 25-year-old may have started his last game of the season for the Reds; he's approaching an innings limit, which could relegate him to the team's bullpen.

Iglesias has tossed 116 1/3 innings between Triple-A and the majors, posting a 2.78 ERA in nine big-league starts since the All-Star break. He owns a 3.81 ERA overall in 16 appearances, 14 of which were starts.
