Report: Reds' Iglesias approaching innings limit; to finish year in bullpen

David Kohl / USA TODAY Sports

Raisel Iglesias has shown that he has a bright future as a member of the Cincinnati Reds, but the organization is going to have to wait to see how things pan out.

The 25-year-old, who has been impressive in the second half of the season, is approaching an innings limit and will be moved to the bullpen for the remainder of the year, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

He is still scheduled to start Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs, but that could potentially be it for the youngster.

Iglesias has tossed 109 1/3 frames between Triple-A and the majors, posting a 2.81 ERA and 0.90 WHIP in eight big-league starts since the All-Star break.

Overall, he owns a 3.92 ERA in 15 appearances, 13 of which were starts.
