Freese (finger) will likely join the Angels on Monday in Oakland, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis:
He is scheduled to play third base Friday and Saturday for Triple-A Salt Lake, and should be activated early next week. While Freese will still be viewed as the Angels' primary third baseman upon his activation, the expected presence of Kaleb Cowart and Kyle Kubitza once rosters expand will presumably cut down on the veteran's playing time.
