Kevin Jairaj / USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Mariners have traded outfielder Justin Ruggiano to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Dodgers agreed to pay $150,000 of Ruggiano's remaining salary.

Ruggiano was in Triple-A at the time of the trade, hitting .296/.385/.514 with Tacoma.

The 33-year-old veteran appeared in 36 games for the Mariners this season, posting a .214/.321/.357 mark with two home runs and three RBIs.

He's been well-traveled in his seven seasons in the big leagues, playing with the Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs, and Mariners.

The Dodgers originally selected Ruggiano in the 25th round of the 2004 draft.
