The San Francisco Giants have acquired outfielder Alejandro De Aza from the Boston Red Sox.

The Red Sox will receive minor league left-hander Luis Ysla, while Boston will send $650,000 to San Francisco to complete the deal.

The 31-year-old De Aza will play for this third team this season, having begun the year with the Baltimore Orioles before a June trade to Boston.

He's currently hitting .261/.319/.755 with seven home runs, 32 RBIs, and five stolen bases in 290 plate appearances and will be eligible to make the Giants postseason roster if they make the playoffs.

The Giants designated outfield Ryan Lollis for assignment to make room for De Aza on the 40-man roster.

The 23-year-old Ysla had a 6.21 ERA in 33 appearances in High-A ball before the trade.
