St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jason Heyward (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Friday against the San Diego Padres.

Analysis:

Heyward's hamstring injury has prevented him from starting each of the past two contests, but he did make a pinch hitting appearance Wednesday. It doesn't appear the issue will hold him out too long, but his return won't come Friday.
