Heyward (hamstring) is not expected to need a DL stint, MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
A series of tests on Heyward's hamstring indicated the outfielder is merely dealing with a cramping issue, which manager Mike Matheny said is possibly related to dehydration. Heyward received IVs on Tuesday before going through an extensive pregame workout. Nothing's definite, but Mattingly even suggested Heyward could be an option off the bench Tuesday.
