Chicago Cubs rookie third baseman Kris Bryant left Sunday's 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in the fifth inning following a headfirst slide at second base.

Bryant was dizzied by the hard slide, and was removed from the game for precautionary reasons. He underwent concussion protocol upon his exit, and will be re-evaluated Monday.

"I'm feeling better," Bryant said postgame. "We'll see what it feels like tomorrow. I think I went into his (Jean Segura's) leg. I don't know if it was the tag or anything like that."

Bryant singled home Kyle Schwarber in the top of the fifth to give the Cubs a 4-1 lead and tried for second after the Brewers threw home.

The play was cut off and the Brewers attempted to get Bryant at second. Shortstop Segura appeared to tag Bryant on the helmet before Bryant's neck or upper back appeared to hit Segura's leg on the slide.

A safe call was upheld following a Brewers replay challenge. Bryant was removed from the game for pinch-runner Jonathan Herrera.

Bryant is hitting .246/.354/.436 with 14 homers and 61 RBIs.
