Daniel Norris, the highly touted left-hander acquired by the Detroit Tigers earlier this week in exchange for David Price, earned more praise throughout his minor-league career for his gaudy strikeout totals than his defense.

Sunday afternoon, however, the 22-year-old showed some serious athleticism afield in his Tigers debut. Norris laid out for a sensational diving grab on a poor bunt attempt from J.J. Hardy in the second inning of his new team's series finale at Camden Yards.

Norris, a second-round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in 2011, helped the Tigers to a 6-1 victory over the Orioles on the afternoon. The youngster allowed just four hits and one earned run across 7 1/3 innings.

He was thrilled after the game when discussing the grab.

"I always complain I never get cool PFP plays," he told Jason Beck of MLB.com.

It's hard to believe he can be so limber considering how much time he spends cooped up in his van.
