Alex Anthopoulos won't stop.

Shortly after bolstering his bullpen in a trade with the Seattle Mariners on Friday, the Toronto Blue Jays general manager acquired outfielder Ben Revere from the Philadelphia Phillies moments before the non-waiver trade deadline.

In exchange for Revere, the Blue Jays parted ways with even more prospect capital, shipping minor-league right-handers Alberto Tirado and Jimmy Cordero to the Phillies.

Revere, who boasts a career .292 batting average and led the National League in hits last season, will hit towards the bottom of the lineup for a Blue Jays team that has been aggressively overhauled in recent days following the additions of Troy Tulowitzki, David Price, LaTroy Hawkins, and, most recently, Mark Lowe. Selected in the first round of the 2007 draft, Revere remains under team control through 2017 and should take over in left field for, at least, the remainder of 2015.

Blue Jays' projected lineup vs. RHP

POS Player Bats
SS Troy Tulowitzki R
3B Josh Donaldson R
RF Jose Bautista R
DH Edwin Encarnacion R
1B Justin Smoak S
C Russell Martin R
CF Kevin Pillar R
2B Ryan Goins L

This season, Blue Jays have deployed a number of underwhelming options in left field with Michael Saunders confined to the disabled list with a knee injury. Revere, though, has accrued 1.7 wins above replacement as Philadelphia's primary left fielder, hitting .298/.334/.374 while stealing 24 bases in 29 attempts (83 percent).

In the midst of an aggressive rebuild, meanwhile, the Phillies parted ways in recent days with both left-hander Cole Hamels and closer Jonathan Papelbon to restock their depleted farm system.
