The Oakland Athletics added some rotation depth moments before Friday's non-waiver trade deadline, acquiring left-hander Felix Doubront from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for cash considerations.

Doubront signed a minor-league deal with the Blue Jays in April, managing a 4.76 ERA with a 1.63 ERA over four starts and one relief appearance before being designated for assignment Wednesday to make room on the 40-man roster for Troy Tulowitzki.

Over parts of six seasons in the majors, Doubront owns a 4.78 ERA with a 2.02 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 77 starts and 30 relief appearances between the Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs, and Boston Red Sox.
