Baltimore Orioles general manager Dan Duquette finally landed his coveted corner outfielder.

The Orioles acquired Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Gerardo Parra for right-hander Zach Davies on Friday ahead of the non-waiver trade deadline.

"Parra is a solid professional hitter and fielder and should be a solid addition to the Orioles," Duquette told reporters.

Duquette had been in search for outfield help since losing both Nelson Cruz and Nick Markakis to free agency over the winter.

Parra is in the midst of a career-best season as the 28-year-old impending free agent is hitting .328/.369/.517 with nine home runs, 24 doubles, and nine stolen bases, while playing all three outfield positions across 100 games. He'll likely flank center fielder Adam Jones with Travis Snider.

Player PA 2B HR AVG/OBP/SLG SO
Gerardo Parra 323 24 9 .328/.369/.517 57
Adam Jones 382 18 16 .287/.330/.489 56
Travis Snider 233 9 3 .239/.318/.344 54

The Orioles, who enter the weekend six games back in the division and two behind the second wild card, are still reportedly in talks with Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Ben Revere.

Davies, 22, is 5-6 with a 2.84 ERA across 19 appearances with Triple-A Norfolk this season, posting 81 strikeouts in 101 1/3 innings.

Milwaukee have now parted ways with veterans Aramis Ramirez, Mike Fiers, Jonathan Broxton and Carlos Gomez in addition to Parra.
