VIDEO: Andrew McCutchen scores Little League homer after Twins defense collapses

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Twins had an inning to forget on Wednesday.

After an Andrew McCutchen two-run home run tied the game at three in the fifth, an Ervin Santana wild pitch allowed Pedro Alvarez to score to give the Pittsburgh Pirates a one run lead. Then, a Starling Marte sacrifice fly brought Francisco Cervelli home to make the score 5-3.

With two outs, McCutchen was back at the plate and looped what looked to be a routine base hit to right field. For the Twins defense, though, things aren't always as routine as they seem.

Three runs scored on the error-filled play to give the Pirates an 8-3 lead.

McCutchen wasn't only terrorizing the Twins at the plate, making this highlight reel running catch to rob Kurt Suzuki of a hit.
