It takes 27 outs to win a ball game, and the Chicago White Sox will never forget it.

With the White Sox up 3-2 against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday, Chris Davis came up to the plate with one out in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 pitch, the slugger crushed a fastball to right field that seemed destined to tie the game.

But as the ball carried, White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia timed it perfectly. He leapt at the wall to rob Davis of the homer.

But despite the loss, there was some positives for the Orioles in this one. With just one hit through the first six innings, the Orioles were in the midst of a 26-inning scoreless drought.

In the sixth, Manny Machado broke the streak with a game-tying two-run homer. But that was all she wrote as the Orioles were unable to cross home plate for the remainder of the game.
