VIDEO: Giants attempt to pick off Bryce Harper at 2nd base using center fielder

Bruce Bochy will do anything to get Bryce Harper out, even if he has to resort to trickery.

The San Francisco Giants manager attempted an unorthodox pickoff play on the Washington Nationals superstar at second base Saturday afternoon.

Bochy called on center fielder Gregor Blanco to covertly break for second base in order to attempt a pickoff while Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford engaged in a conversation with Harper as a distraction.

Unfortunately, the trick play wasn't successful.

Harper blasted his 25th homer earlier in the contest off Madison Bumgarner.
