VIDEO: Ortiz breaks up double play with helmet

David Ortiz brought new meaning to the term "heads-up baserunning."

The not so fleet of foot Boston Red Sox designated hitter broke up a double play Friday in unorthodox fashion.

Hanley Ramirez appeared to ground into an inning-ending double play in the fifth inning, but the throw by Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve nailed Ortiz in the helmet forcing the ball to ricochet into the stands.

The Red Sox scored on the play and Ramirez would eventually come around to score as well to tie the game at 5-5.
