Mets' d'Arnaud hasn't resumed baseball activity, won't return from DL on Monday

His left arm still confined to a protective brace for much of the day, Travis d'Arnaud won't be back behind the plate for the New York Mets when he becomes eligible to come off the disabled list Monday.

The 26-year-old catcher has yet to resume baseball activity since spraining his left elbow June 20 in a play at the plate against the Atlanta Braves, general manager Sandy Alderson conceded Friday.

"Once he basically gets full distance both ways, then he'll be able to start baseball activity," Alderson told ESPN's Adam Rubin. "But, right now, he's not doing any baseball activity."

Before landing on the DL, d'Arnaud hit .296/.338/.535 (140 OPS+) with four home runs in 19 games, missing time earlier this season after fracturing his hand April 19.
