The Boston Red Sox have reportedly locked up the top college player in the nation.

Arkansas' Andrew Benintendi, who won both major collegiate awards this season, has agreed to terms with the Red Sox on a deal that includes a $3,590,400 signing bonus, according to MLB.com's Jim Callis.

The bonus figure represents the full slot allotment for the seventh overall pick in this year's draft.

The left-handed-swinging outfielder was the recipient of the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy, recognizing the country's top amateur and college player, respectively, after batting .376/.488/.717 with 20 homers in 65 games as a sophomore this season.

Scouts believe the 20-year-old prospect has the skills to play center field in the majors, with average to above-average future grades in all five tools.

Benintendi is the eighth player among this year's top 10 to have either signed or agreed to terms with their new club.
