Colorado Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa will miss his second consecutive start due to lingering effects from a cut on his left middle finger.

De La Rosa, who was scratched from Tuesday's outing against the Cincinnati Reds, told reporters earlier in the week that the injury had affected his control on the mound.

"I felt something wet. It was blood," De La Rosa said after allowing three runs on five hits in 4 1/3 innings against the Philadelphia Phillies. "It was hard. You saw the game. I didn't have command."

Despite De La Rosa's struggles with the Phillies, the veteran left-hander became the franchise leader in strikeouts (774) by fanning five batters in the abbreviated outing.

Right-hander Eddie Butler will replace De La Rosa on the mound Saturday against the Phillies. Butler is 2-5 with a 4.60 ERA and 23 strikeouts in nine starts this season.
