The Seattle Mariners rotation has suffered another injury blow.
Left-hander James Paxton is heading to the 15-day disabled list with a strained tendon in his left middle finger.
Paxton suffered the injury Thursday against the Cleveland Indians after being forced to depart in the fifth inning due to discomfort in the finger.
Paxton, who is 3-3 with a 3.70 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 10 starts, joins fellow starter Hisashi Iwakuma on the DL.
