Analysis:

After exiting Wednesday's outing against the Tigers due to shoulder soreness, Kazmir will miss Tuesday's scheduled rematch in Detroit, but he may still avoid the disabled list. His following start lines up for next Sunday in Boston. If it's indeed just a one-start absence for Kazmir, the Athletics could get by with a four-man rotation for the time being, as the team would be able to keep their starters on regular rest until at least June 6.
