Angels' Cowgill headed for DL with hand injury

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Collin Cowgill (hand) will be placed on the 15-day DL Thursday, the Orange County Register's Jeff Fletcher reports.

Analysis:

His playing time has been spotty and his performance has been shaky (.180/.231/.295) so his absence should not be widely felt in fantasy circles. Alfredo Marte will be called up to take Cowgill's place on the roster.
