National League Game Summary - Miami at Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Neil Walker hit a two-run homer and Jeff Locke tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings to lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 5-1 win over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday.

Locke (3-2), who hadn't won in six straight starts after beginning the season 2-0, overcame four hits and four walks to pick up his first win since April 18.

"I think everybody's goal is to come out and respectfully outdo one another," Lock said, refering to the Pirates pitching staff.

Jung Ho Kang and Josh Harrison each had two hits and Harrison scored twice in Pittsburgh's fifth straight win.

Jose Urena (0-1) got knocked around in his first major league start, yielding all five runs on 10 hits in just 4 2/3 innings. Urena, who made two relief appearances earlier this season, was called up from Triple-A New Orleans to help Miami's injury-riddled rotation.

"The bullpen did a great job. 3 1/3 innings, no walks, four punchouts," said Marlins manager Dan Jennings.

Harrison set the tone for Pittsburgh with a leadoff single in the home first and advanced to third when Andrew McCutchen beat out an infield single. Kang knocked in Harrison to make it 1-0.

Urena struck out two around Jordy Mercer's single in the second inning, but again Harrison got to him, ripping the first pitch he saw into right-center for an RBI double. Walker followed with an opposite-field blast over the wall in left.

Pedro Alvarez extended the lead to 5-0 with a two-out RBI single on Urena's last pitch in the fifth inning.

Martin Prado broke up the shutout with a two-out ground-rule double over the wall in right in the seventh inning. Rob Scahill, who was responsible for the run, got pinch-hitter Justin Bour to fly to left to end the threat.

Arquimedes Caminero struck out the side in the eighth inning and pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to secure the win.
