American League Game Summary - Chicago at Toronto

Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Drew Hutchison tossed a four-hit shutout while Justin Smoak keyed the offense with a two-run homer and three RBI, as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Chicago White Sox 6-0 on Monday.

Hutchison (4-1) struck out eight and walked nobody while throwing 96 pitches in his second career shutout. The other came at Texas on May 16, 2014.

"He had them swinging, he was hitting the zone and I don't know if he even broke a sweat tonight," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said of Hutchison. "That's one of those games where it's nice to sit back and watch because he was in total control."

Chris Colabello knocked in two runs during a four-run first for Toronto. Josh Donaldson hit a solo homer and scored three times.

Hector Noesi (0-4) made his first start since May 9 and allowed five runs on five hits with four strikeouts and three walks over seven innings. The right- hander had lost his first three starts before being moved to the bullpen.

"Right now, the offense isn't clicking at all," Chicago manager Robin Ventura said. "They know it and it has to change or you are going to lose games."

The White Sox, who had a five-game road winning streak snapped, started an 11- game road trip on Monday.

The Blue Jays scored four runs in the first. Jose Reyes led off with a double and Donaldson walked. Edwin Encarnacion then hit a grounder to second baseman Emilio Bonifacio, who flipped the ball to shortstop Alexei Ramirez in hopes of starting a double play. A spinning Ramirez failed to touch second, though his throw to first was in time. Colabello followed with a two-run single and Smoak added a two-run homer.

Donaldson hit a solo homer in the second to make it 5-0.

Toronto scored another run in the eighth after Chicago failed to turn another double play. With men on first and second and no outs, Russell Martin hit a grounder to Ramirez. The shortstop bobbled the ball and was only able to get the out at second. Smoak followed with an RBI single to right-center field.

Hutchison retired the final 11 batters he faced.
