Cincinnati Reds right-hander Johnny Cueto didn't seem too concerned when elbow soreness forced him to miss Sunday's series finale against the Cleveland Indians.

"I feel a normal soreness you usually feel. I feel tired. That's the bottom line," Cueto told MLB.com on Sunday through an interpreter. "First of all, I'm not worried about it. I'm using my head."

Still, the 29-year-old will nevertheless have his elbow examined Monday, according to Joe Kay of the Associated Press, who noted that Cueto's elbow still doesn't feel right.

"He's had more than his usual elbow stiffness. He's done all the stuff with the training and medical staff," manager Bryan Price said Sunday. "I don't think it's anything anybody is concerned with."

Though both Price and Cueto remain optimistic, the impending free agent endured a noticeable decline in velocity during Tuesday's outing against the Kansas City Royals, when he said his discomfort first surfaced.
