Parra is out of the lineup Monday against the Giants.

Analysis:

Parra has worked his way into Milwaukee's starting lineup in five of the last six games, but will take a seat Monday with manager Craig Counsell using his regular outfield of Khris Davis, Carlos Gomez and Ryan Braun. Following a red-hot start to the month, Parra has collected just two base hits in his last 18 at-bats, bringing his season average down to .286 (it had peaked at .314). This was likely just Parra regressing to the mean, however, as his current .361 BABIP remains a bit unsustainable. Furthermore, a career-worst 24.2 percent strikeout rate is a bit concerning, but Parra should continue to see reps against tough right-handers moving forward, and will be the first option off the bench when any of the regulars need a day off.
