Chicago White Sox (19-22) at Toronto Blue Jays (20-26), 7:07 p.m. (ET)
(SportsNetwork.com) - The Toronto Blue Jays hope to have Jose Reyes back in the lineup on Monday when they start a three-game series with the Chicago White Sox at Rogers Centre.
Reyes has been on the disabled list with a rib injury and hasn't played since April 27. He was hitting .250 with seven RBI, six runs scored and three stolen bases in 16 games before the injury.
He went 4-for-11 with a pair of RBI in a three-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo over the weekend.
However, the Blue Jays may be without slugger Jose Bautista, who received a cortisone shot in his right shoulder. Bautista wasn't in the lineup for Toronto on Sunday when it salvaged the finale of its three-game set with the Seattle Mariners. Edwin Encarnacion and Ryan Goins each hit a two-run home run to help the Toronto to an 8-2 win in that one.
The homers backed a solid outing by Aaron Sanchez (4-4), who allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings with four strikeouts. Goins finished with three RBI after he drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh.
"Sometimes, things speed up on me out there," said Sanchez. "That's kind of my thing to do. I just step back behind the mound, take a few breaths and get back to work."
Getting the call for the Blue Jays on Monday will be righty Drew Hutchison, who is 3-1 with a 6.06 ERA. Hutchison picked up his first loss of the season on Wednesday, as the Los Angeles Angels reached him for four runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Hutchison has been afforded a MLB-high 9.55 run-support average this season.
Chicago, meanwhile, will counter with righty Hector Noesi, who hasn't started a game since May 2. Noesi had lost his first three starts and pitched to a 6.75 ERA before being moved to the bullpen. He has appeared in three games since then and has not allowed a run in three innings.
Noesi will be trying to help the White Sox bounce back after losing two of three over the weekend to Minnesota, including an 8-1 setback in Sunday's rubber match.
Jose Quintana (2-5) was hammered for seven runs -- six earned -- on seven hits in six-plus innings. Chicago's only run came on Jose Abreu's home run in the fourth.
"We just didn't play well, and they outplayed us," said White Sox manager Robin Ventura. "That much was pretty evident."
Chicago, which has won its last five on the road, was 5-2 versus the Blue Jays last season.
