Guyer shined again from the leadoff spot, going 2-for-3 in Friday's win over the Athletics.

Analysis:

Guyer is now up to a .289/.375/.422 line with five steals, which is pretty ideal for a leadoff man. Friday's game illustrated his major limitation, though, when the Rays swapped him out for lefty David DeJesus. Guyer pretty much only sees the leadoff spot against a left-handed starter and is going to have massively limited value as long as the Rays keep him in that role. Curiously, he actually has a higher batting average against righties (.293 to .286).
