Scoreless streak ends for Giants pitchers at 34 innings

Matt Kartozian / USA TODAY Sports

San Francisco Giants pitchers have finally yielded a run.

Coloraro Rockies second baseman D.J. LeMahieu launched a three-run home run off George Kontos in the seventh inning to snap a streak of 34 scoreless innings tossed by Giants pitchers.

San Francisco starters, however, have extended their scoreless run to four consecutive games thanks to six shutout frames from Ryan Vogelsong.

The Giants blanked the Los Angeles Dodgers in three consecutive games in their last series by scores of 2-0, 4-0, and 4-0.
