Red Sox's Sandoval not in lineup Thursday with sore knee
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
Boston Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval (knee) is not in the lineup Thursday against the Texas Rangers, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis:
Sandoval exited Tuesday's contest after taking a pitch to his knee, and will be held out of the lineup for a second consecutive day as a result. There was no structural damage, so Sandoval is likely just dealing with some discomfort that will keep him day-to-day for now. Brock Holt will get another start at third base in his stead.
