Dickerson, who landed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, has no plans of undergoing surgery to address the plantar fasciitis in his left foot, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Dickerson has been playing with inflammation on his heel since spring training and saw the situation worsen when he chased down a fly ball Saturday against the Dodgers. The Rockies are hopeful that some time out of the field for Dickerson will be enough to make playing through the issue manageable again, with manager Walt Weiss suggesting the outfielder could return from the DL when eligible June 3. Dickerson will wear a walking boot for the next few days before attempting to restart baseball activities.
