Welington Castillo: Traded To Mariners.

Castillo was traded to the Mariners on Tuesday, ESPN Chicago's Jesse Rogers reports.

Analysis:

The Cubs have kept three catchers on the roster all season, making Castillo expendable. The Mariners, meanwhile, have gotten very little out of Mike Zunino and Jesus Sucre, who have a combined 20 hits in 121 at-bats (.165 batting average). While Castillo hasn't fared any better this season, he figures to replace Sucre on the 25-man roster, and he could take a significant chunk out of Zunino's playing time.
