Pence resumed hitting Sunday and will continue to do so for the next several days as he looks to prove he's nearly recovered from the broken left forearm suffered in early March. If his subsequent batting practice sessions go well, Pence could be sent out on a rehab assignment at one of the Giants' minor-league affiliates over the weekend.
